Started working on January's newsletter today, which is another attempt at a topic I've visited a few times in my blog and social media, but I always find something else to say about it. Hopefully it will resonate with writers who like to dabble in the scary stuff.

Today was not a very productive day for writing. This tends to happen when I have a couple of days off in a row; one day is for errands, the other for more errands and some writing. I wish it wasn't that way, but here we are.

I've been on the hunt for reference guides about druids. Apparently, the druids weren't into record keeping, at all, so there's very little to go on, though there are a few books that capture the subject. At least there's more about druids than the history of the Golden Dawn. Secret societies gonna secret.

I've read a little farther in the Lord of the Rings, pleasantly surprised how good it is so far. I'm very interested in Tolkien's other writing about Middle-earth, so I'll probably be looking into some of those volumes as well.

I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with a progress report of my WIP.
